Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (LITRAK), the concessionaire for Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong launched its roads safety campaign targeted at road users who will be staying back in the city.
LITRAK Group CEO Sazally Saidi said there were sufficient campaigns being carried out for those on Balik Kampung trips and he felt those who are left behind must also be educated on road safety.
" This year around, we decided that our target would be those in the city who would be involved in the festive merry making and our main objective this time would be to educated people against drink driving," he said.
He added, statistics have shown that accidents happen on the urban highways during the festive seasons at the wee-hours of the morning and many of those returning home at the hour might have had a drink too many.
"We want to drive home the message on the perils of drink driving and today we will be distributing flyers and car stickers, all with the same message which is " Avoid alcohol if driving",Sazally said.
Also present at the event was Subang Jaya Traffic Chief DSP Tengku Anuar Raja Hussin who concurred that the launch of the campaign was a timely effort. |
